What better way to warmly welcome you than with a handmade signpost? From autumn, this decoration adds rustic charm to our entrance to the cottage.

Collecting materials for the signpost was an adventure in itself. Reclaimed wood from a nearby barn, wood varnish cans found in the nativity scene and a stork placed on top were the selected elements that gave the signpost an atmospheric look. We drew inspiration from the natural beauty of the surroundings and, of course, our wooden porches.
As always, our decoration was the result of cooperation: the wood-burned descriptions were made by Wojtek, individual wooden elements were polished by Kuba, and Bożena, Paulina and Arek were responsible for the installation and choice of place. Being a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts is an obligation, which is why Paulina also painted the turn signal with preservative varnish, together with Kuba :)
In the era of mass production, this signpost will serve as a laurel to the strength of craftsmanship, which plays a very important role in the Karkonosze Mountains. Not only does it guide guests, but it also creates the atmosphere of a guesthouse that values the beauty of handicrafts, the charm of locality and the warmth of a personalized welcome. As visitors approach, the signpost becomes a symbol of the unique experience that awaits them at the Black Stork Cottage.
